Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and hospitable staff
Previous guests are complimentary about the service offered by the owners, Katie and Stu. This couple seems friendly and willing to offer local area information without ever coming across as intrusive. Guests mention being surprised by a little treat on their birthday - the kind of service usually reserved for hotels.
positive:
Clean and comfortable property
Reviews indicate that you'll find this B&B is clean and comfortable throughout. Amenities are not exactly extensive but it's unlikely that you'll find yourself short of any essentials. Guests appreciate the free Wi-Fi and those who benefitted from a sea view were particularly impressed.
positive:
Picturesque location
Guests like being able to take a walk along the beach first thing in the morning and also appreciate the dining choices within a short stroll of the B&B. If you want to explore, Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia National Park await.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some guests find property is dated
This is by no means a regular complaint but some guests do mention that they found Crystal House a little dated in parts. That said, they also concede that in no way did this ruin their stay. Rooms are regularly refreshed, so you may not encounter this issue.
negative:
Shared bathroom facilities
Some of the rooms do not benefit from a private bathroom, so you may need to share. This didn't particularly bother anyone as the shared bathrooms are clean, but be sure to book early if you would prefer not to share.
negative:
No guest lounge
A small number of guests would have preferred there to be some sort of communal lounge, although it's fair to say that most simply enjoyed the privacy of their room. On the plus side, you can sit in the garden on sunny days and take advantage of the outdoor seating provided.
