Back To The Future
The hotel appearance and ambiance transports you back in time. You are in today but experience days of long ago. Not only that, the staff are also dressed in period costume. It's a unique happening that people should experience at least once.
positive:
Couch Potatoes Not Welcome!
Some people may take this as a positive and others as a negative. There are no phones or TVs in the rooms. Either you will love it or it will drive you nuts. It fits in with the theme during that era, so a flat-screen TV will stick out like a sore thumb.
positive:
The Food Is Up To Date
The food is great at the hotel. Short ribs and grilled cheese and carnitas sandwich along with a fantastic brunch are some of the goodies you have to look forward to.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Leading A Double Life
The hotel check-in area is a bit disorderly. The reception doubles as the cafe hostess compounding the confusion as the individual is frequently away from one of the areas when needed.
negative:
Is This Part Of The Scene?
You may experience ants in your room and bit of heavy dust. Though this is obviously not part of the period scene, the charm of the building helps you to deal with it a little better.
negative:
Did They Have These Noises Back Then?
The hotel is near the airport, the train station, and garbage trucks that come in the wee-hours to unload dumpsters. It's a noise fest. Not only that, the bed creeks, there are no closets, and other amenities. You may enjoy the period theme of the hotel for a short while, but eventually the blinders come off.
