It is fair to say that you don’t necessarily expect to be greeted by dramatic vistas when you book a budget hotel. That doesn’t apply here though as the views of the Detroit River - and the iconic Detroit cityscape on the other side - are nothing short of stunning.

As well as being far too small, the hotel’s car park operates on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis, even though most visitors have to pay to use it. How can a hotel justify charging its guests for a service that they may not even get to use because it’s so limited..?
