About Feel Good Apartments Conde Barão
The Feel Good Apartments Conde Barào are thoroughly chic and modern, and offer guests self catering accommodation just steps from the Tagus.
The apartments are sleek and trendy, and feature fully equipped kitchens, including dishwashers. There is air conditioning for when the mercury starts rising and free Wi-Fi for when your social-network activity starts rising.
Express check-in is available for guests who would like to jump right into their holiday or business trip.
For those who are not self catering, there are many great dining options in the area. Nearby Restaurante Frade dos Mares is particularly well liked, and specialises in traditional Portuguese seafood dishes.
The Bairro Alto district, with its great cafes, bars and nightlife, is just 700 yards away - well within walking distance. Santos Station, with its trains to Lisbon’s beaches, is just 15 yards from the apartments.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Lovely views from many apartments
Perhaps the most mentioned plus point for the apartments, many guests say that their apartment had great views to the Tagus and beyond. They seemed to be somewhat surprised by the actual views, since they do not seem to be oversold on the accommodation website.
positive:
Apartments more spacious than expected
Based on preconceptions derived from marketing photos, guests were pleasantly surprised to find the apartments larger than expected. They didn't feel like they were being crammed in anywhere.
positive:
Surprisingly quiet
While a few guests did have problems with internal noise, many commented that the location of the apartments resulted in very little street noise reaching them at night
Negative Reviews
negative:
No on-site staff available
This was a big negative for many guests. They felt that they were pretty much left to their own devices once they had checked in. There were no staff on-site and to many it seemed that they were completely uninterested in communicating further after check-in. If guests had problems, which often seemed to arise, the staff were not available to talk to.
negative:
Apartments now a little shabby
Several guests insist that the marketing pictures on the web and elsewhere must have been taken a very long time ago indeed. They describe the current state of the apartments as quite shabby, and many also seem to experience problems with dirty apartments at check-in.
negative:
In a bit of a run-down neighbourhood
While most guests did not exactly feel unsafe in the immediate surrounds, many did mention it had perhaps seen better days. It is described as scruffy and down at heel, and did not put them in a cheerful holiday mood.
