Positive Reviews
positive:
A beautiful Parisian neighbourhood.
The Saint Germain-des-Prés district is a popular choice among visitors to the City. It is far less tourist-orientated than other areas and has a more authentic Parisian feel and, while many of the most popular attractions are within walking distance, with easy access to two Metro lines, nothing is too far away.
positive:
Aesthetically pleasing.
The hotel is tastefully decorated and kept immaculately clean, while rooms are thoughtfully designed with little touches such as motorised blinds and aesthetically pleasing lighting. Bathrobes, slippers and complimentary natural bath products are welcome extras.
positive:
Professional, multi-lingual staff.
Previous guests have suggested that what sets Madison apart from its competitors is its staff; all are professional, polite and have an excellent grasp of English (as well as a multitude of other languages); nothing is too much trouble.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Upgrade for a larger room.
Standards room are, like many hotel rooms in Paris, a little on the small side. Room size does increase with every upgrade, although of course, so does the price.
negative:
Breakfast; an additional cost.
Breakfast is served buffet-style every morning at an additional cost and, while convenient, many guests find the price excessive for what is offered. For those who decide to opt-out, there are numerous local cafes and boulangeries nearby.
negative:
Misleading descriptions of the views.
Some rooms are advertised as having courtyard views, however, many guests have pointed out that the views are, in fact, over an internal space partially filled with air conditioning units. If views are important to you, a room with a boulevard view may be the safer choice.
