Both the grounds and interior of this hotel are kept in immaculate condition and the inside of the hotel features beautiful furnishings. Many guests enjoy the comfortable lobby area which comes complete with an open fire, the perfect spot to relax with a book and a cup of tea.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Odd Bathroom Doors
Bathrooms have louvre swinging, double doors, which seems to be an odd choice for a bathroom door. Many guests find them irritating and noisy, as you can hear other guests going in and out of their bathrooms throughout the evening. Also, the doors don't offer much privacy from your travel mates.
negative:
Rooms Feel Cramped
Rooms are on the smaller side and guests say they feel rather dark, even when all of the lights are on. This combination makes the rooms feel cramped and drab. Also, rooms lack some of the basic amenities most guests expect, especially a kettle for coffee and tea.
negative:
Lack of a Lift
Be aware that this hotel does not have lifts, so you'll have to carry your luggage upstairs. This may prove an issue for older guests or guests with mobility issues.
