Mercure Paris Montmartre Raspail is a non-smoking property which is great for those who don’t imbibe and like their surroundings smelling fresh, rather than like second-hand smoke.

This hotel is centrally located and easy to reach by public transportation. You are only a five-minute walk from Gare Montparnasse and 20 minutes away from Gare du Nord, and Gare de Lyon. The Latin Quarter, where you’ll find dazzling nightlife, is a short walk away and there are dozens and dozens of great little shops, cafes, restaurants and bars just outside your door. At the same time, this part of the city has a quiet residential feel, with lots of parks and tucked-away monuments that are sure to keep you entertained throughout the day and evening.

It’s wonderful that pets are allowed at this hotel, especially if you like to travel with your favourite canine companion. Your dog will love it too, because Paris is such a dog-friendly city and there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door.

There is no restaurant at Mercure Paris Montparnasse Raspail which could be a bit of a drag. However, the Bar does serve a light menu and you also have 24-hour room service at your disposal. If those options don’t work for you, you can always dine at My Noodles, which serves Asian food, or any of the dozens of other restaurants and cafes located nearby.

The guest rooms here are a bit small, although the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows do give the illusion of space. But if you are travelling with more than one person, are travelling with a lot of luggage or need extra room to manoeuvre, this is a feature to be aware of.

The Wi-Fi here is free for the first six hours and then a fee is incurred. This can be problematic if you’re travelling on business, want to get an email out in a hurry or just stay connected on your devices and don’t want to incur an extra expense. Luckily, Wi-Fi is free 24/7 in the public spaces.
