All our reservations come with Continental Breakfast included (Toasted bread, fruit, juice/coffee) Before the missioners arrived to the southern California region, known in those days as Alta California, one meeting point was Tecate in Baja California, the current North Entrance to the Wine Country. This was a place of reunion, encounter and survival for the Kumeyaay ethnic group, a Sanctuary for them. The missioners of the San Diego, California Mission, gave the name Diegueños to the natives because they though of them as part of the jurisdiction of the San Diego (Diegueños) mission. And although with time the culture has been loosing its traditions; its existence hasn’t been forgotten. Inspired in one of the Kumeyaay Sanctuaries a Boutique Hotel is created with the name Santuario Diegueño – Diegueño Sanctuary. This hotel has interesting designed spaces, comfortable and upper class facilities, plus friendly and cordial customer service, that all in all delight each guest senses.
