    Operating continuously since 1773, the Hotel Red Lion Inn is a family-friendly, historic hotel located in Stockbridge, close to many Berkshire attractions and sites. All rooms, suites and guest houses are air-conditioned and feature free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Individually and eclectically decorated in antiques, rooms feature Italian linens and premium bedding. Some units have kitchens, porches and/or balconies. The Hotel Red Lion Inn is totally smoke-free and has a 24-hour front desk, a gift shop, a library, and a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub. The inn has a full-service restaurant serving creative New England cuisine. Widow Bingham's Tavern and the Lion's Den Pub serve classic American cuisine.  A courtyard dining area is open during summer months. There are numerous museums, historic estates and sites, theaters and music venues nearby. Tanglewood is 10-minutes away and the Williamstown Theater Festival and MASSMoCA museum are less than an hour’s drive.

    This historic property oozes old New England charm. From the rocking chairs on the large, iconic front porch to the antique birdcage elevator in the main lobby, guests feel like their living in a Norman Rockwell painting.

    Great Location for Exploring Berkshires

    Guests come here to explore the many cultural activities and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. There are theaters and art galleries, historic estates and gardens and antique shops nearby. There are plenty of hiking trails and nature preserves here and autumn is prime season for leaf-peeping.

    The main dining room here is candle-lit, quiet and features a creative menu that guests say doesn't disappoint. In summer months, guests love eating in the courtyard. There are also two pub/lounges that serve food and drinks.

    Cell service in the Berkshires is notoriously spotty, especially in Stockbridge. Guests here may be able to get service in the hotel, or not, depending on the day and where you are. The hotel does have free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

    Filled with antiques, this hotel can feel old and tired to some guests. Floors are uneven and creak, rooms aren't soundproofed and some of the well-worn rugs look a little threadbare in spots. While some consider the décor charming, others find the hotel a little dark and creepy.
