Motel Studio City Court Yard Hotel (Studio City, USA)

The hotel is fine for what you get on a low budget. It's not a four star, in fact to some it may not be a three star; however, for the price you pay and the area, it kinda balances out.

If you are a Hollywood buff, you will find plenty to keep you busy. The hotel is near the greats like Warner Brothers Studio and Universal Studio. There's plenty more too. If your purpose for coming to the area is mostly for the Hollywood glamor and your budget is tight, this is the hotel for you.

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets in the area. There is a fantastic sushi bar next door to the hotel. There's a bagel cafe close by as well.

The hotel is pretty much outdated and worn. You may encounter a toilet that won't flush, rude staff, slow hot water pressure, TV with only three stations, and a complimentary breakfast that is only a cup of coffee. Then again, you get what you pay for and the price is pretty cheap.

There are no fire sprinklers in the room, no fire extinguisher visible on the premises. There are only a couple of stairways to escape if an emergency occurred. There's no elevator either, which you wouldn't use anyway if there were an emergency.

It's not that the hotel feels unsafe overall, but it just has that aura of being dodgy and unkept. The staff aren't horrible, but they certainly suit the dicey ambiance of the hotel. Basically, it's all a bit messy.
