The helpful, friendly and supremely efficient team at Runnymede are to be congratulated. Not only are they some of the most affable and personable hospitality workers on the island, they're also very, very good at getting things done. Top marks for all-round customer service here.

As well as the nearby beach, promenade and swimming pool at Havre des Pas; Runnymede Court has three restaurants, three pubs, a mini-market, hairdressers, newsagents, chemist, bookmakers and a bistro within a few minutes' walk of its front door. Très pratique...

Although the hotel's guest rooms are, generally speaking, of a relatively good standard, it is fair to say that many of them would benefit greatly from a modest makeover and a lick of paint.
