The hotel is ideally located for those visiting an event at the show-grounds (such as the Ekka) as it is just a short walk to the grounds from the hotel. Many people also commented that they stayed here because of the hotels' proximity to the Royal Brisbane Hospital and these people commented that it was in a very convenient location.

A common bug-bear for reviewers was that whilst the entertainment precinct in Fortitude Valley was close by, there was not really any restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity that could easily be reached on foot.
