The extensive gardens were described as well-presented and many thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside during warmer weather as well as admiring the views from their rooms.
Guests were pleased to find several places on the hotel's premises where they could enjoy a few drinks or simply relax and read their paper. During warmer weather guests chose to sit out on the patio and admire the views of the gardens whilst during cooler weather the well-stocked bar and cosy lounge proved popular with many.
All the members of staff have been described as approachable and friendly greeting guests with a smile upon arrival. Those who had issues and requests said that they were dealt with professionally and efficiently. Guests who dined at the on-site restaurant said the waiting staff were polite and courteous.
Guests reported several plumbing related issues ranging from low water pressure through to noisy plumbing which some described as quite intrusive. Water temperature on the showers was also quite difficult to adjust according to some of the guests.
The walls were said to be rather thin as guests objected to being able to hear conversations and televisions from the adjoining rooms. Some also said that they were disturbed by footsteps from the occupants above them and creaky floor boards.
Some of the guests mentioned that the rooms were starting to show their age as they noticed stained and worn carpets as well as marks on the walls and skirting boards. The furniture was also said to be looking quite tired.
