Great modern rooms
Most guests liked the rooms in this location. The hotel itself is not very old yet so the rooms are in good condition. Most guests described their rooms as comfy, spacious and clean. The beds are great for a good night's sleep, the bathrooms are well appointed and the double glazed windows are keeping noise out.
positive:
Location in Charleston is top
Many guests liked the location. A free city trolley stop is right across the hotel, taking guests to the inner city sights nearby. But you can also easily walk the historic district. Many restaurants, bars and boutiques are located near the hotel.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking is kind of a hassle
There are parking lots around but be prepared to look for a spot if you do not want to spend the money on valet parking, which is an option that will save you some time. The Historic District is notorious for being hard to park.
negative:
Neighborhood not the best in town
Some guests consider the hotel to be at the outskirts of the Historic District and in a less trustworthy neighborhood. There are however no incidents of any kind described so that this is possibly a matter of personal preference.
negative:
Food is pricey
Some guests felt that breakfast buffet and the food in the restaurant are more expensive than they should be. Being in Charleston, there is nothing keeping you from enjoying breakfast or a good meal in a nearby restaurant, so you do not depend on the hotel facilities.
