The central location of the motel with its traditional historic design was one of the main reasons why guests chose the property. The town of Eureka Springs was such a lovely town with many beautiful attractions. Moreover, the historic downtown area was also just a short walking distance by taking Benton Street.
Due to continuous renovation of the property that resulted to complaints, most guests were pleased with how the owners handled the situation. They were more than eager to please the guests, tried their best to resolve the issues, and provided their special request such as refund or room transfers.
Aside from the spacious rooms, guests were also impressed with the clean and comfortable king-sized beds. The size was sufficient enough to the number of guests inside the rooms and the beds were freshly prepared and well-maintained.
Most of the negative reviews were centred on the unpleasant smell of moulds within the rooms. The whole cottage had this musty and mouldy smell as soon as guests entered the rooms. The smell was so devastating that some guests had minor allergies or clogged nose.
The carpets inside the rooms had visible brown stains and some water stains due to the water damage from the bathrooms and the dripping water from the air-conditioning units. The water was absorbed by the carpets, which resulted to the musty smell.
Guests were very disappointed with the water damage within the bathrooms. Some guests did not have enough water pressure which was not enough to flush the toilets, while some guests suffered from severe water damage which entered the actual rooms and damaged the bathroom doors.
