The Ashton Court Estate is considered to be one of the busiest UK country parks and consists of 850 acres of woods and grassland with terraces, a rose and sunken garden and a pond as well as a deer park and two golf courses. The estate dates from the 15th century and much of the Grade 1 listed mansion was constructed around 1633. Since 1959 the property has been owned and managed by the Bristol City Council and the premises include various listed buildings.
